Tami Simon Interview on The Good Life

I never heard of the term “reportage” when it comes to art and graphics until this summer and now I’ve found a new focus!

So what exactly is it? 

Reportage illustration is the art of recording real events and situations by hand on paper, just as a photo journalist would use a camera to record them for a magazine or newspaper feature.

I listened to this interview of Tami Simon by Jonathan Fields posted on Cynthia Morris’ blog. Cynthia “captures the WOW!”  and  inspired me to make my first reportage illustration.
