Thoughts of Fall

The autumn equinox occurred on Sept 22.

Here in Houston, I am looking for signs of the fall season in my yard and neighborhood. I am so ready for the heat and humidity to be gone.

I started this piece, "Thoughts of Fall" by weaving two fabric swatches together. I bought them from a local artist, Liz Axford, who had a fabulous studio sale last weekend. I asked her to write down the technique she used to dye her cloth.

Once I wove strips of shibori fabric together, I added accents as if I was coaxing the fall season along.

It may or may not go in my Etsy shop. I've gotten kinda attached to it.

Very pretty! The subdued color scheme is very November-ish.

This is beautiful, I love the colours. We are starting our spring so everything is green around here. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments.
