My Beloved Dazy

It's morning and I am sitting here with my coffee browsing the internet. It's a clear sunny morning and our gardenia bush has decided to bless us with a second round of blooms.

But I am sad without my Dazy dog beside me. She was faithful pal who was never more than a foot away from me if she could help it. Her little licks of affection were given freely when I felt like this for any other reason.

She just got old and it was heartbreaking to see her struggle to walk. Her heart and vital organs were strong until the end. She waited until I was away and just stopped eating. I'm sure she hated the taste of all the pills she took and was ready to just go to sleep peacefully.

I did say goodbye to her before I left, but I thought I would be seeing her again after my trip. Instead, I agonized over the decison to let her go while the pet sitter made the trip with her to the vets. They put me on speaker phone and I told her I loved her one last time.

If you have a pet, give them a hug for me today. I just feel so crappy and need an art project to get beyond this sadness.

I'm so sorry about your Dazy. :( I hope you can find some arty activity to take your mind off things for just a bit.

HI Sharon,
I am SO sorry for your loss. I have lost two cherished pets and I know it is terrible. I'm sending you healing thoughts and inspiration to distract you - until it becomes more bearable.
I'll be thinking of you.
