Rumi Cards

rumicards, originally uploaded by e14studio.

The gift is for my friend who loves the Suffi poet, Rumi. (loves him enough to name her dog after him!). I embellished a box with home-made papers, a photo transfer on muslim and a jewel. Inside I put 12 cards. Each card has one of my tiny drawings which was used to illustrate a quote of Rumi's. The quote you see on this card reads:

"All Day I think about it, then at night I say it. Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing? I have no idea. My soul is from elsewhere, and I intend to end up there."
