Friends

friends, originally uploaded by e14studio.

I have been lurking at all the postings that Penelope has set up at the site for llustration Friday. This is my first entry.

As soon as I saw the topic was "Friends", I immediately thought of my friend, my sister Joni. Back in 1997,I drew this image of us after we woke up at 4:30 am to go outside and look for the comet, and sure enough there it was. I live in Texas and my sister lives in New York, so whenever we get together it's always special, but this was one time I'll always treasure. She is my big sister and my BEST FRIEND!!

You brought happy tears to my eyes and love in my heart. I remember how special and awesome it was to share that experience. I look forward to many, many more happy, funny, exciting, and interesting memories to share with you.
(the Big Sister) Love you, SIS!

awww wow! that is such a nice image. My best friend, who I lost to a car accident about five years ago, we loved star gazing in the summer time at camp. I miss her so much. Yet, this illustration brought back beautiful memories...

Thanks for sharing your talent!

I've always admired my little sister's talent. I couldn't have set up my bulliten boards when I started teaching without her artistic talent! Thank you, little sister! I treasure your friendship.
Love, Big sister!
